A role has arisen for a Painter to work in the Fabrication department.  Applicants should have previous painting experience, particularly using a spray gun and working with different types of paint applications (such as, baked & air dried).

Successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking spray type applications, including ‘baked’ and ‘air dry’ coatings.  The Painter will also work within the silkscreen area, both with general processing and/or any tooling requirements.  Duties will include: cleaning & maintenance of all paint related equipment; control of paint supplies and related materials; production and inspection of coating applications; assist with silkscreen operations and inspection thereof; design and manufacture silkscreen jigs and fixtures; varnish application on tuning coils.  The painter may also take on fabrication duties within the Fab shop – producing fabricated pieces and light duty machining operations according to ISO and Nautel’s Workmanship Standard Operating Procedures.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to use all equipment required for coating applications used; have a good understanding of all spray type coatings; be able to provide input into the improvements of techniques, materials and coating applications; be capable of reading and understanding: Nautel drawings, ECRs and DWAs; Have the ability to work to a specified tolerance;  have the ability to work well within a team as well as using their own initiative; be able to communicate effectively and be able to ensure that work is done correctly, completely, consistently and to required standards.
