Purpose:
Contributes to Transcontinental’s success by identify new clients, establishing positive relationships with prospects and securing new business.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve operating targets and maximize profitability through effective communication and proactive management of accounts. Communication will primarily be by use of phone, email and mail but may from time to time require site visits.
- Maximize positive and strategic relations with customers by communicating, problem solving and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Identify, prospect and qualify potential accounts and internal company synergies or other profitable opportunities that will result in growth of the unit, group and sector.
- Utilize market intelligence to align client strategies in support of corporate vision and objectives
- Communicate with existing or potential designated clients in order to sell the company’s products among a designated territory, by client category or on a targeted market. More emphasis on business development.
- With the assistance of other team members, emphasizes team sales targets, business expansion, and diagnosis on problematic or key markets. Work with specific markets/complex variety of products, which require strong skills in customer relations and a sound understanding of the markets needs.
- Uses professional sales skills and knowledge of our product, services and processes as well as our client’s business, our competition and our customer’s competition, to quickly identify the customers key decision makers and influencers.
- Occasionally assists members of sales team with documentation leading to a confirmed sale.
Qualifications and Compentencies:
- Ability to “cold call” is essential
- Ability to act as a consultant to educate and help clients identify print solutions
- Able to establish rapport quickly and develop trust
- Work autonomously to achieve established goals and objectives
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and customer empathy
- Work in partnership with each client to promote win-win outcomes
- Resolve customer issues and seek positive outcomes to conflict situations
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to succeed in a sales profession
