Development Officer, Corporate Development

The Development Officer works under the direction of the Regional Director, and is part of the regional team. Located in the Fredericton office, the Development Officer is responsible for identifying, collecting, organizing, and analyzing prospect data to establish and expand corporate relationships, grow revenues, and to further the awareness of the Canadian Diabetes Association's initiatives. Fund development includes sponsorship, workplace giving, and charitable foundations.

Responsibilities:

• Works with Regional Director to build and maintain corporate relationships with solid stewardship practices.
• Develop and implement an annual business plan for both short and long term goals for corporate prospects in order to achieve financial objectives.
• Develop corporate profiles, with recommendations for viable/sustainable "asks" to expand the visibility, financial opportunity, and volunteer initiatives of the Canadian Diabetes Association.
• The Development Officer works closely with the Public Programs and Services to disseminate corporate programs and solidify corporate relationships.
• Actively manage and cultivate a portfolio of established and newly acquired signed corporate prospects, achieving or exceeding a forecasted growth per annum.
• Ensure the highest standards of customer care are adopted, implemented and maintained in all relationships with business, professional, government and other related communications.

You will have a post-secondary education and a minimum of two years corporate sales/ business development or fundraising experience. In addition you will have a demonstrated track record in B2B sales and entrepreneurship within highly customerfocused market. Superior communication, presentation and team-building skills are essential. Certification in fundraising, experience in the not-for-profit sector and ability to work in both official languages are definite assets.
