Our client, Hawboldt Industries, has engaged us to help source a qualified Machine Shop Supervisor for their location in Chester, Nova Scotia.  Hawboldt Industries design and manufacture custom marine equipment for the fisheries, defense, shipbuilding, oceanographic-seismic and offshore oil and gas markets worldwide.  This is a full-time permanent position.

As the Machine Shop Supervisor, you will be a hands-on type of person, a self-starter with the desire to learn and develop a wide range of skills.  You will work with their highly skilled and professional team, and will be responsible for the following:

• Interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings to machine custom equipment;
• Overseeing programming of CNC equipment;
• Preparing work schedules and assignments for employees and setting work deadlines;
• Inspecting work in progress and completing in conformance with specifications and adherence to quality standards;
• Training and developing employees to become competent in the machining of equipment.

As the Machine Shop Supervisor you will meet or exceed the following qualifications:

• 3 – 5 years of CNC and manual machining experience;
• Skilled in MasterCAM programming;
• Proven leadership experience.
