Duties:
The Clerk IV (Facilities Coordinator) acts as the Department’s advisor on corporate administrative matters and has a wide range of responsibilities including developing, managing and maintaining administrative services, oversight of facility space planning and leased premises, contract management for departmental renovation projects, coordinating the procurement of professional services, procurement of office furniture and equipment, telecommunications integration, and security and safety. The Facilities Coordinator is also the primary departmental contact/liaison as Emergency Preparedness Officer and Security Officer for Health Promotion and Protection.
Qualifications:
Grade XI plus a minimum of 5 years related experience, or an acceptable equivalent of training and experience. The successful candidate will have demonstrated technical competence and understanding of GAAP within the government sector, space planning and accommodation guidelines and have expert knowledge of government procurement policies and procedures and use of CFMS software. Must also have the ability to develop solutions to operational process problems, have solid project management skills, above average communication and negotiation skills and be able to work independently as well as a member of a team. He/She will set effective work priorities, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and make sound judgments. Departmental Emergency Preparedness Officer and Departmental Security Officer training to perform duties of this position is an asset.
Classification: CL 22
Salary Range: $39,050 - $43,192
