As the successful candidate, you will oversee all aspects of transportation and distribution of both raw materials and customer goods to and from production facilities, distribution centres, and supplier locations.  Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Services, you will manage and develop a distribution staff of three and you will direct and maintain an effective global freight and distribution strategy.  With an eye on key performance indicators for carriers and warehousing partners, you will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders that ensure the best possible distribution position for the company.

The ideal candidate should have a post secondary education in business or related field and at least 5 years experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution.  International transportation experience, customs compliance, and C-TPAT experience are preferred.  In addition, you must have a strong attention to detail and experience working and making decisions independently.  You have strong negotiation skills and a successful track record in developing and mentoring a team of professionals in transportation or distribution.  A CITT, PLog, or other logistics designation is considered an asset, as is experience in a regulated industry.  Prior exposure to the food or pharma industry is also considered valuable.
