LED's are the greatest invention in lighting since the light bulb, and represent an impending revolution in lighting and global energy reduction.
LED Roadway Lighting Limited is seeking the best and brightest to join our growing team of professionals to assist in design, application assistance, and product support. Technical disciplines include electrical circuit design, mechanical and optics modeling. The incumbent will work directly with senior research and design staff and will leverage their knowledge in engineering or physics. Support will be provided to our network of independent business development representatives to assist them in designing application solutions and market development.
This position will be located in our Head Quarters in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to the business development team to communicate:
- Provide technical assistance and support
- Roadway Lighting Application Assistance
- Optical Modeling Theory
- Understanding of Thermal Modeling considerations
- Light Pattern/Distribution Research
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Masters of Science in Physics or Bachelor in Electrical/Electronic Engineering,, or Electrical Technology may be considered
- New graduates welcome to apply, 2-5 years of experience preferred
- Advanced computer modeling or mathematical modeling a strong asset
- Passion for the environment and development of green technologies
- A strong technical background with an interest to grow with a highly innovative team of professionals
- Good communications skills are essential
