NSAC is seeking a qualified candidate for the following:

Duties
The Tree Fruit Bio-Product Research Program at Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow to perform research for an NSERC-funded project in the area of natural food antioxidants.  Research activities mainly include extraction and isolation of selected phytochemicals and mixtures from horticultural bio-resources using various "green" extraction techniques and chromatographic partitioning techniques, and characterization of their antioxidant properties using selected food and in vitro model systems. Duties also include maintenance of analytical instruments, i.e. HPLC-MS/MS, and assisting undergraduate and graduate students in research associated with food chemistry. The successful candidate is also responsible for data collection and analysis and preparing written reports and manuscripts.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in food chemistry, analytical chemistry or related discipline with demonstrated skills in scientific methodologies and publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Salary:   Commensurate with education and experience

Please note:  This is a Full-time Casual position.  Initial appointment will be for one (1) year. The position is renewable depending on performance and funding.
