The company produces a wide range of structural & architectural products; which include bridge girders, parking garages, wall panel facades, hollow-core floor & roof planking and industrial buildings. We presently have a Plant Safety Coordinator career opportunity located at Strescon Limited in Saint John, NB.

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely accident prevention and emergency preparedness advice and direction;
• Develop and implement safety procedures and ensure safety compliance;
• Investigate and ensure timely reporting of all incidents (personal injury, property damage, near misses);
• Develop an effective occupational health and safety program;
• Conduct safety-related training

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Significant amount of safety experience in an industrial/unionized environment with thorough knowledge of legislated requirements in New Brunswick;
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical expertise;
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills coupled with proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment;
• Strong computer skills using MS software programs;
• Excellent communication, management and leadership qualities working in a team environment;
• Experience in the Concrete Industry or in manufacturing coupled with working knowledge of shop equipment and machinery is a definite asset.
