Hanscomb Limited is a Cost Consulting firm that currently operates from 14 offices throughout Canada and the Middle East.  Our services include cost control services, scheduling, loan monitoring, value management, construction cost monitoring for large and small projects. Hanscomb Limited's Halifax office has an opportunity for a Senior and/or Intermediate Level Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator to join our team.

Qualified candidates will have the appropriate educational and practical background with preference given to those with current Canadian experience.  Practical experience in the development and presentation of detailed construction cost estimates from the conceptual stage to fully developed drawings is preferred.  A high standard of professionalism is required in addition to effective communication and interpersonal skills.

As the successful candidate you will become part of a team working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment. You will often be working independently but must also have the ability to task share on large projects as required within the Company. You will be asked to co-ordinate and produce cost estimates in accordance with Company formats, using in-house software tools.  As well, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications will be required.  

Applicants should be in possession of, or be working towards their PQS, CEC, P.Eng., Gold Seal, or other related designation.
