| The Ideal Candidate |
The ideal candidate will be an established Electrical Design Engineer with a professional track record working within Hydro and utilities in Canada or the USA. The successful candidate will be a distinguished member of an electrical design team for power generation or infrastructure design. As the ideal candidate, you will have a minimum of 5 years experience in the design and analysis of High and Low Voltage power distribution systems. |
| Job Description |
The successful candidate will carry out all aspects of design for; underground hydro distribution and street and parking lot lighting, for residential and industrial subdivisions, commercial and industrial facility lighting, commercial site plans, parks, etc. The candidate shall have experience with power distribution system design, and be familiar with software tools for engineering design. The ability to design intersection signalization is also an asset.
The role includes;
-Complete design as noted above.
-Prepare drawings in Auto CAD.
-Liaise with hydro agencies and carry out engineering submissions.
-Expedite approvals, Issued For Construction drawings, etc.
This position is that of a sole practioner. The ability of the candidate to create client relationships and grow the service group is an asset.

| Responsibilities |
The successful candidate will undertake technical design support and CAD services, as well as ensure that client needs are met in a timely and effective manner. |
| Requirements |
As the ideal candidate, you possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a design role within a Consulting Engineering Environment along with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
A sound knowledge of AutoCAD is required, along with Word and Excel. You are a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Your ability to prioritize multiple tasks and previous team leading experience would be beneficial. Salary is commensurate with experience.
