The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be an established Mechanical Engineer with a professional track record working within Health Care and Medical projects in Canada or the USA. The successful candidate will be a member of the leadership team for health care projects and must possess a wealth of knowledge in developing a greening healthcare program. As the ideal candidate, you have a minimum of 15 years experience in the design and analysis of HVAC systems, medical gas piping and utility systems.
Job Description The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Lead and direct the mechanical engineering and CAD design team.
• Ensure that client needs are met and exceeded in a timely and effective manner.
• Specific duties will include project investigation, on/off-site inspections, report preparation.
• The ability to design and QC designs is essential.
• Specification writing and construction review.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will direct and manage technical support and CAD services, as well as ensure that client needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Specific duties will include project investigation, on/off-site inspections, report preparation, design, specification writing, and construction review.As an integrated services team, our client provides an exciting opportunity to work with the best clients on the best projects on a national level.
Requirements The successful candidate will have:
• A minimum of 15 years in the design of HVAC systems, medical gas piping and utility systems.
• Have specific knowledge of applicable building codes, CSA health care standards, NFPA, TSSA and ASHRAE standards.
• Experience in the design and analysis of plumbing, drainage, fire protection, pumping, refrigeration exhaust and waste systems; including sizing, selection and layout.
• The ability to prepare site investigations, construction reviews/plans, specification writing, pre-development reviews and general engineering reports.
• Professional accreditation with PEO and also has BCIN registration.
