Position Title:   Project Manager – Renewable Interconnections

Accountabilities:   The Project Manager - Renewable Interconnections is accountable for the successful completion and quality of all work associated with project design, construction, and commissioning.  This includes work of direct and or functional internal reports, contractors and consultants. 

Specific Accountabilities include: 

  • Oversee the design, construction and commissioning of renewable interconnection projects.
  • Overall accountability for the successful implementation of one or more projects in terms of scope, cost, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction from initial involvement to completion.
  • Ensure the Project Management Methodology is maintained and implemented to support the successful completion of the project.
  • Provides ongoing direction, motivation and support to project team members and other project resources.
  • Continually ensures effective communication with key project stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitors project performance and ensures appropriate action is taken to address risks and issues.
  • Ensures proper documentation is created, maintained and archived.
  • Ensures effective communication and technical liaison with renewable project developers.
  • Provide technical or functional guidance to staff.
  • Supervise, assign, oversee completion, and quality of both direct and functional internal reports, contractors and consultants.

Skills, Capabilities and Experience:  As the ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • An Engineering, Accounting or Business degree from an accredited university and a recognized project management certification.  
  • A minimum of eight years experience in a Project Management role.
  • Comfort decision-making on a wide array of project issues.
  • Attention to detail, specifically around scheduling/work, budget, and meeting timelines.
  • HV Substation design, construction and commissioning experience.
  • Self-starter, team player, excellent communication skills, customer focused, ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of formal project management methodologies
