Senior Planning Analyst

Centre for Institutional Analysis and Planning (CIAP)
(Contractual Position to March 31, 2010)

Duties:

The successful applicant will perform professional applied research, analysis and planning for the university, in particular for its senior executive and academic and administrative units. Reporting to the Director, major responsibilities include conducting environmental scans, identifying and researching issues of strategic significance to the university, preparing discussion and briefing papers, assisting academic and administrative units with their planning initiatives, and supporting major institutional planning exercises at Memorial as required. Other duties will include monitoring of existing plans, developing performance measures to determine progress towards institutional goals, assisting with the development of three year plans and annual reports to ensure compliance with the Transparency and Accountability Act, and performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Experience (1-3 years) in an analytical / planning environment, preferably related to post-secondary education. Graduation with a Master’s degree in business administration or social sciences, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.  Strong oral and written communication skills are essential as is the ability to gather and analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources.

Salary: $40,277 on the scale of $40,277 - $56,482 per annum
