Course Title: Intermediate French 1

Contract Term: August 15, 2008 to December 31, 2008

Course Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:30pm – 4:00pm

Salary: Basic Stipend: $5133. per 3 hour credit course

Course Description: FRAN 1213 A1

This is the first-year university course normally taken by students who have completed Grade 11 or Grade 12 high school French. Basic grammar is reviewed and while effective communication, both oral and written, is stressed, students will be examined primarily on their written expression

Qualifications: 

The successful applicant must have a Master's degree in French, although a Ph.D. in French studies is preferred. Candidates must have experience in the teaching of French as a second language. They should also have native or near-native proficiency in French.  Candidates must also be proficient in English. Candidates are asked to provide evidence of good teaching, such as recent teaching evaluations or a complete teaching dossier. Experience in computer-assisted language learning is an asset.
