Course Title: Spanish Conversation 2

 Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:30pm – 4:00pm

 Basic Stipend: $5133. per 3 hour credit course

Course Description: SPAN 2123 X2

The development of communicative skills in Spanish through situational dialogue work, vocabulary-building exercises, task-oriented comprehension activities, and thematic and cultural readings and stories which provide stimuli for pair work and group discussion. Students who take this course will have already taken a course in Spanish conversation in the first semester and will continue the work undertaken in the first semester.

Qualifications: 

The successful applicant must have a Master's degree in Spanish studies, although a Ph.D. in Spanish studies in preferred. Candidates must have experience in the teaching of Spanish as a second language and with courses in oral expression in particular. They should also have native or near-native proficiency in Spanish. Candidates must also be proficient in English. Candidates are asked to provide evidence of good teaching, such as recent teaching evaluations or a complete teaching dossier. Experience in computer-assisted language learning is an asset.
