Applicants must have:

• Commitment to students.
• Knowledge appropriate to school level and job position requirements.
• Strong curricular background.
• Sound interpersonal, communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education, Certificate V.
• Familiarity and competency with curriculum and programs for the high school level.
• Minimum linguistic proficiency of “Superior” on the New Brunswick Second Language Proficiency Scale is required to teach in the French Second Language Program.  A copy of the oral French Proficiency Certificate must be included with the application.

To Apply: Please apply (quoting competition number) by letter outlining qualifications for the position, with résumé (including computer competency), teaching portfolio, copy of transcript, copy of Teachers’ Certificate, copy of French Proficiency Certificate and three references, by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. (If selected for an interview, please bring your teaching portfolio.  It is not required when submitting your application for the competition.)
