Nova Scotia Community College is at a pivotal time in our history. NSCC is on a path to 2011 to redevelop learning spaces, and launched a new Strategic Plan in 2006. Already at the forefront of education innovation in Canada, this plan uses that foundation to deliver on our goal of being a national-calibre college.
The School of Business welcomes applications from dynamic and engaging candidates who:
- Possess at least 5 years relevant business experience and knowledge
- Possess a relevant business degree with professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA)
- Demonstrate excellence in, and passion for, student learning, teaching, and helping others to succeed
- Use innovative and active approaches to teaching, with technology as a tool to assist in learning.
- Experience with online learning systems and alternate delivery formats would be an asset
- Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and to personal and professional growth
- Have knowledge of the concepts of Portfolio Education
- As part of the School of Business faculty team, you will deliver introductory and advanced courses in accounting and business administration to provide students with the knowledge and skills required for employment in today's business environment.
Faculty of the School of Business primarily deliver programming to business students, but they may also deliver courses in other programs. Included in the role of a faculty are learner performance support and evaluation, curriculum development and maintenance, facilitation of student field placements, and maintenance of strong relationships with industry groups and knowledge of trends in their respective disciplines. You will keep current in your discipline and area of instruction.
Faculty may be called upon to develop and deliver business development, part-time studies or on-line courses, to participate in program promotional activities and to assist in growing and improving business programs.
Salary range is $50,373 to $68,261.14 annually.
