Survey Assistant

Our Company is a leader in the provision of consulting services for residential and commercial development and is increasingly providing a broad range of engineering, planning, and surveying services to a growing number of private and public service clients throughout Atlantic Canada.

We are currently seeking to add a Survey Assistant to our team of highly skilled professionals in our Saint John office.  The successful candidate will assist with survey fieldwork on a wide range of surveying and engineering projects.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working with a survey crew chief, supporting the daily activities of a survey field crew
• Operating survey instruments and devices
• Cutting and monumentation of boundary lines
• Caring for and maintaining survey equipment
• Preparing detailed field notes of survey activities

Qualifications and Skills:

• Demonstrated willingness to learn essential
• Ability to function within a team environment essential
• Previous experience an asset but not necessary
• Familiarity with municipal engineering, architectural and survey plans an asset
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Attention to detail essential
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
