EastLink is presently seeking a CAD Operator to work with our Wireless Network Implementation Team located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

The successful candidate will be responsible to support the wireless deployment team by producing preliminary construction drawings for the wireless network using AutoCAD and other similar programs. 

As the successful candidate, you will have the ability to develop strong relationships with peers, management and key contacts while demonstrating your ability to adapt, think outside the box while being able to handle multiple project deadlines and deliver several projects simultaneously.  The CAD Operator will also be responsible to maintain the as built database for our wireless network.

Key Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

• Create preliminary AutoCAD drawings for wireless towers in order to support the Site Acquisition process
• Work with internal members in creating drawings that represent EastLink’s needs for co-location requests
• Work with Equipment Engineering in creating site layout drawings for the installation of equipment at each individual site
• Create construction packages for contractor(s).  Includes all plotting and organizing of construction package
• Maintain and keep up to date records and manage as-build documentation
• Other CAD related functions as required

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a recognized program and/or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of Industry Experience
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in CAD related to Wireless  communications an asset
