GIS Consultant – (ST02-08-CB)
ESRI Canada has an exceptional professional opportunity for a GIS Consultant. Based out of the newly established Atlantic Region office in St. John's, you will leverage your knowledge and experience with ESRI technology to deliver successful GIS solutions to our clients.
As a GIS Consultant you will contribute to the ongoing business operations of the Atlantic Region by effectively providing technical management and delivery of assigned consulting projects and other client services. The successful candidate will also provide user needs analysis, design, development and implementation of client solutions.
GIS Consultant responsibilities include:

Working closely with Account Managers and the Professional Services Manager to assist in the development and delivery of professional services opportunities
-
Providing input into the preparation of proposals (e.g. RFPs, RFIs and RFQs)
-
Preparing and presenting seminars and demos in trade shows, user conferences
-
Supporting pre- and post-sales activities related to technical aspects of ESRI products
-
Contributing to overall project planning by defining tasks, estimation and project scoping, performing user needs analysis, functional specifications and design

Teaching certified ESRI training courses
Specific skill requirements:
-
Minimum of 4-5 years experience in ESRI products
-
Geodatabase design and implementation experience
-
Proven knowledge and experience delivering GIS projects to external clients
-
University degree in computer science, engineering, geography (GIS) or equivalent education and experience
-
Experience with programming/scripting in an ESRI environment
