Intermediate Electrical Engineer

Irving Shipbuilding Inc’s primary office is located at the Halifax Shipyard with other locations in the Maritime Provinces.  The company has been carrying out ship repair, building quality ships and fabricated modules for over 100 yrs.  The company’s commitment to Health, Safety and care for its employees and the environment is an integral part of our business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Engineering of power distribution systems and equipment
• Engineering of control and instrumentation systems and equipment
• Engineering of navigation and communications systems and equipment

Experience & Education Requirements – Knowledge & Skills:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5-10 years experience in a Marine related environment
• Familiar with Classification Society Rules
• Familiar with Flag Requirements
• Familiar with Class Certificates and/or Type Approvals
