Due to considerable growth, our client has a position for an experienced Estimator. You will become an integral member of this leading Canadian provider of specialty fabrication, machining, offshore services, and marine refits and repair. Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for a variety of projects including marine refits and industrial mechanical projects
• Visit job sites and prepare take-offs
• Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders
• Recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
• Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, owners, contractors and subcontractors

The successful candidate will be passionate about industrial, marine, offshore or related industries and looking to join an organization within which they can have a satisfying career.

Requirements include:

• University Degree or College Diploma or Trade related Certification
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of Industry experience
• Minimum 3 years in an Estimating role
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong computer skills
