Job Opportunities:

We are currently looking for several Managers of Food, Housekeeping and Laundry with experience in the healthcare industry to help us deliver best services in our Long-Term Care operations in Victoria, BC and Vancouver, BC.

As the Manager, you will ensure food production, housekeeping and laundry activities are carried out in accordance with the established policies, procedures and provisions. Also, you will monitor the therapeutic nourishments for each resident and develop, implement and adjust the regionalized menu to meet the preferences of the residents. You will coordinate and support all housekeeping and laundry activities and work with all levels of staff in matters relating to the cleanliness of the facility. Additionally, you will be involved in all phases of operational planning and expenditures, ordering, budgeting, costing and sales reporting. You will handle unit hiring, payroll, employee training, staff scheduling and client relationship building. As well, you will address and resolve labour relation issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Food and Nutrition Management diploma from an approved community college and/or university degree in Food Service and Nutrition
• member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (eligibility or interest for membership with CSNM)
• 2-3 years’ foodservice, restaurant or healthcare-related experience; housekeeping and laundry experience is definitely an asset 
• excellent customers and clients relationship skills
• Exceptional communication abilities (oral and written)
• strong supervisory, leadership and coaching skills
• Excellent organizational and problem solving capabilities
• knowledge of Microsoft Office
