Retail Manager

The Retail Manager is a motivated, goal-driven individual with proven capabilities leading a high-performance team.  The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing hands-on customer-service, with strong team-building and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing exceptional customer service
• Providing support and direction to existing retail staff team members
• Staff scheduling and developing training seminars
• Completing performance reviews
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of retail staff
• Merchandising and purchasing
• Participate in advertising and promotional planning
• Some heavy lifting/manual labor may be required as part of service excellence

Qualifications:

• Retail Management experience
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Assertive and self motivated
• Enthusiasm, persistence, and confidence
• Basic knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of horticulture or hardware considered a strong asset
• Ability to lift heavy loads (50-60lbs) considered an asset
