Casual and Part-time Licenced Practical Nurse Positions

Dykeland Lodge provides Level II long term and dementia care in Windsor, Nova Scotia. Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the LPN administers a wide variety of resident care functions within the designated job description, scope of practice, code of ethics and governing legislation. The LPN provides a leadership and supervisory role to the continuing care attendant/Personal care Worker.

Qualifications:

The successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• Registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of NS. 
• Current First Aid and BCLS-C certification.
• Previous clinical experience, with long term care an asset. 
• Demonstrated competencies in nursing assessment, observation, medication administration, and leadership skills. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basis computer skills
