Casual and Part-time Licenced Practical Nurse Positions
Dykeland Lodge provides Level II long term and dementia care in Windsor, Nova Scotia. Our 110 bed fully licensed facility is progressive and innovative with a 127 nursing staff that are committed to providing excellent care through multidisciplinary resident care teams. Our staff collaborates with medical, dental, mental health, and pastoral care specialists along with a Physiotherapist, Occupational therapist, Dietitian, and Recreational personal. Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the LPN administers a wide variety of resident care functions within the designated job description, scope of practice, code of ethics and governing legislation. The LPN provides a leadership and supervisory role to the continuing care attendant/Personal care Worker.
Qualifications:
The successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of NS.
- Current First Aid and BCLS-C certification.
- Previous clinical experience, with long term care an asset.
- Demonstrated competencies in nursing assessment, observation, medication administration, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basis computer skills
