Position Summary: The Staff Nurse will be responsible and accountable for the application of current theory and research in the delivery of family centred care consistent with the philosophy, objectives, mission and vision of the IWK Health Centre.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, weekends and on-call; 7:30am – 3:30pm

Qualifications: 

• Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing required (candidates will commensurate experience and education will be considered).
• Current registration or eligibility for registration with CRNNS (College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia) required.
• Current certification in basic cardiopulmonary life support (BCLS) required.
• Sound understanding of Family Centred Care required.
• Perioperative course or Recent General O.R. experience required.
• Knowledge & skills in laparoscopic and laser techniques preferred.
• Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred. 

Salary: $27.8296- $32.5231/Hour   $33.6614 (with 25 years nursing experience)
