Continuing Care Assistant (CCA)/Personal Care Worker (PCW)

Casual Positions

Position Summary:  The Continuing Care Assistant (CCA)/Personal Care Worker (PCW) will provide client-centered care in both acute and long term care environments.  The CCA/PCW will use appropriate aseptic safeguards in the workplace, and apply environmental safety and security measures in the workplace.  The CCA/PCW will provide appropriate personal care to the client and will respond and/or seek appropriate help as required.  The CCA/PCW will provide client care within the Provincial Healthcare and Safety Guidelines.

Qualifications: 

• Graduate of an approved Continuing Care Assistant Program/Personal Care Worker Program, or 
• Students enrolled in the RN/LPN program who have completed their clinical 
• Current CPR certification required 
• Previous experience is preferred 
• Excellent oral and written communications skills 
• Basic computer skills

Hours of Work: Casual as per CCAs/PCWs availability

Salary: $15.00 per hour + vacation pay (4%)
