Shiretown Nursing Home is an 89-bed Home for Special Care located in the Town of Pictou overlooking Pictou Harbour. We have 72 nursing home beds and 17 residential care bachelor apartments. Twenty-one independent apartments are also part of our facility.

The Town of Pictou, located on the beautiful Northumberland Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, is renowned as the "Birthplace of New Scotland" as it was here that the first Scottish immigrants landed in 1773. We are noted for our hospitality, scenery and many fine dining establishments. We also have many world class attractions, such as the Hector Heritage Quay, a full sized replica of the Ship Hector, and Grohmann Knives, famous for their "Russell belt knife". Come and enjoy our restored waterfront, visit our craft shops, museums and travel the Jitney trail, which is part of the Trans Canada Trail system.

CCAs/PCWs - casual positions

Shifts are 6, 7 and 8-hours. Long-term care experience would be an asset.

BScN and Practical Nursing (PN) students are eligible for casual employment. Please inquire.
