The roles and responsibilities of a JD Edwards Oracle Senior Consultant are to provide professional and effective functional or technical consulting services as they pertain to a mid-market Oracle practice. This includes:
- Provide Advisory, Functional and Technical services regarding Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne capabilities and functions to customer organizations existing and potential clients;
- Undertake a professional development program to ensure that your skills and product knowledge are maintained and enhanced. This also includes understanding the Deloitte Approach to Enterprise Applications service delivery and the methods and tools that we employ in our service delivery.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the market, including participating in proposal development and JD Edwards initiatives such as User Groups and Conferences (OpenWorld, COLLABORATE, etc).
- Build a knowledge of the Deloitte firm and the variety of services that we offer in the market; Where appropriate, participate in cross functional teams to develop and deliver integrated firm services.
- Provide support to maintaining and enhancing the Oracle vendor relationship with the firm.
- Develop your brand – through ongoing development activities and through the delivery of services build a reputation for expertise in a specific area.
- Assist with practice building initiatives such as recruiting and orientation when required.
- A minimum of 5 years of functional consulting experience with a proven knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne solutions.
- Experience with implementation, operation, maintenance and upgrade in the following module areas:
- Payroll
- Human Resources
- A proven ability to assess needs, define requirements, analyze options and propose/implement effective solutions within an ERP environment;
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills;
- A dedication to quality and integrity;
- Flexibility to travel within Canada and potentially the U.S.;
- Proven leadership and team building abilities;
- Consulting experience would be considered an asset;
- An undergraduate degree or diploma.
