Lifeofsports.com is expanding their current business focus and growing through expansion into new untapped markets. Lifeofsports.com is now looking to employ a Country Manager to help drive revenue growth from our recent expansions into Australia, New Zealand and the UK. The Country Manager will ultimately be responsible for the acquisition, conversion and retention of poker players in the country. The role will be based in Canada (Sydney, Nova Scotia office), but is not limited to travel internationally. This role is varied and will include the development of a marketing strategy for the responsible country its implementation through relevant channels. This role will report to directly to the Chief Executive Officer and work daily with other country managers for support on initiatives.
The Responsibilities:
- Hire and manage 30-40 student market representatives to work directly with our brand and the brands of our partners.
- Build the customer database in Country of focus through the effective development and delivery of specific marketing activities tailored to suit local needs and cultural differences. Significant focus of this role will be on poker.
- Establishing relationships ‘on the ground’ in your country with:
- Influential Key students on University campuses and encouraging word of mouth through ‘guerrilla’ marketing activities
- Key influential journalists
- Managing the region’s marketing budget and liaising daily with Chief Executive Officer on any marketing issues.
- Daily phone calls, emails, instant messaging with workers that are hired to promote our chosen brands.
- Provide content for newsletters
- Daily Reports on results
- Report and payment of workers in territory
- Work with IT team on marketing tactics and creativity to drive results
The Must Haves:
- Candidates should have completed an undergraduate degree (ideally with a marketing qualification)
- Ideally the candidate will have a track record of delivering marketing programmes to large groups of people.
- A dynamic and energetic individual, you should possess innovative and creative thinking. A person who as the ability to think outside the box is a necessity.
- The individual must be a passionate to learn and work in an online business environment
- The candidate must be willing to work unset hours due to working in a global business setting.
- A knowledge of Poker would be desirable but not essential
Financial Package:
- Generous Salary, plus monthly and yearly bonus targets
