Geosam Investments Ltd., a private investment company established in 1997 with offices in Halifax and Toronto, has an immediate opening for a Corporate Counsel. This position will be located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the President, your responsibilities will include managing legal issues, providing strategic advice on investments, commercial matters, disputes and litigation proceedings. As well, you will manage outside counsel.

In addition to being a results-oriented individual who is known for attention to detail and responsiveness, the successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Must be admitted, or eligible to be admitted, to the Bar in Nova Scotia
• Minimum of 5 years experience as Corporate and/or Securities lawyer
• Proven track record of effectively handling multiple projects simultaneously and an ability to work at productively in a fast-paced, complex environment
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to present insight and actionable recommendations in a concise and confident manner.
• Travel is required
