Advantage Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Bilingual Legal Assistant for a highly regarded law firm located in Moncton. This position is a permanent position and offers a competitive salary.
Reporting to the supervising lawyers, the selected candidate will provide assistance and/or support in all aspects of the office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce various legal documents as directed by supervising lawyers from both written notes or dictation
- Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, and co-workers
- Process mail, couriers, schedule appointments/meetings and maintain schedules
- Maintain contact database
- Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, transcription services, and various other contacts in a timely matter
- Maintain filing system (paper and electronic)
- Book travel arrangements
- Other administrative tasks as required
Qualificatons
- Minimum five years total legal assistant experience is required.
- Fluently bilingual
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook is required. Knowledge of WordPerfect, Excel, Powerpoint and Legal Vision is an asset.
