Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to handle Atlantic Accident Benefits claims.  The successful candidates will have the ability to strive in a fast paced environment, to prioritize and negotiate effectively.

What you will achieve in this role: 

  • Adjust accident benefit claims
  • Negotiate claims settlements in a fair and consistent manner
  • Establish and maintain appropriate reserves
  • Meet stringent individual and divisional targets
  • Prioritize workloads and provide superior customer service; the ability to anticipate the customers' needs and offer a high level of service beyond the customers' expectations

What you need to know and what experience you need to have for this role:

  • 3-5 years experience adjusting Accident Benefits Claims
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to multi-task, and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Windows applications and Lotus Notes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with both external and internal customers
  • Proven negotiation tactics
  • Ability to work independently
  • A complete training program will be provided to the successful candidates

What education is best for this role:

  • Actively working towards CIP designation
  • Degree or post secondary certificate/diploma
