Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Marsh's Captive Solutions Group seeks accounting professionals for its newly opened Technical Center of Excellence in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The successful candidates will assist in servicing a broad range of insurance clients. These clients are predominantly insurance subsidiaries of Fortune 500 companies.

Specific job requirements include:

• Responsible for maintaining all client financial records.
• Preparing periodic financial statements in accordance with both Canadian and US GAAP.
• Liaising with auditors to complete annual GAAP and statutory audits as required.
• Act as primary client liaison for purposes of financial accounting issues.
• Attendance and presentation of financial information at client meetings as required.
• Completing special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants should possess the following:

• Possess a recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA).
• Undergraduate degree in business, or specialization in accounting preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Be highly self motivated yet able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to take on new responsibilities when needed.
• Experience within the insurance industry preferred.
