Claims Analyst

Traded on the New York Stock Exchange, Flagstone Reinsurance Limited is a rapidly expanding Class IV Bermuda based Reinsurance Company assembling a dynamic team of professionals throughout its operations globally.  To meet the demands of continued growth and diversification there is a requirement for a Claims Analyst to join the team in our Halifax, NS office.  

Reporting directly to the Global Claims Manager, the Claims Analyst will be responsible for the complete handling of the claims process including the verification and analysis of contract coverage, the investigation and ensuring proper documentation of files and ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of losses.  A high degree of business acumen and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, this individual will be a professional liaison with both brokers and clients

The ideal candidate will have completed a University degree and/or CIP or FCIP coupled with five to ten years of related experience in the property/casualty insurance industry.  Strong analytical and problem solving skills along with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast pace work environment is required.  A team player, this individual will work simultaneously with colleagues in the underwriting and finance teams.
