We are currently hiring an experienced Property Damage (PD) Analyst in our Halifax office.

Reporting to the Team Leader PD, the PD Analyst, is responsible for focusing on the coordination of investigation, facilitation of negotiations and concluding Automobile and Property physical damage claims. 
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. 
           
General Accountabilities:                  

  • Manages and executes Physical Damage files in accordance with operational standards.
  • Makes sound claims decisions within own authority level and makes recommendations to Team Leader when over authority.
  • Takes initiative in adapting and applying procedures to address unusual problem situations and resolve conflicts.
  • Develops disposition plans, negotiates and tenders settlements within authority directly with claimants and/or their counsel.
  • Commits to continual learning/education.
  • Ensures client satisfaction, quality and productivity objectives achieved

Skills and Critical Competencies:

  • A minimum of 2 years claims adjusting experience is required.
  • Experience in both residential and auto is required.
  • Bilingual (French & English) an asset.
  • You possess strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are working towards the completion of CIP or FCIP designation.
  • You have strong analytical skills and are detailed oriented.
  • You demonstrate flexibility and adapt well to change.
  • You demonstrate your ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
  • You are able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Post secondary education an asset.
