Are you a recent graduate or will you be graduating by May 2008 with a University Undergraduate Degree?  Are you looking to start building your career?  If so, the Underwriting and Claims Trainee program is what you are looking for! 

The 9 month Trainee Program will consist of 4 months in the Atlantic Training Centre (Dartmouth, N.S.) with the remainder of the Program in a permanently assigned Region within Canada. To be eligible for this program you must be willing to relocate to any of our regional offices in Dartmouth, Montreal, Mississauga, Toronto, or Calgary.  Please note that it is not determined until after you are in the program where you will be permanently placed.

You are a highly motivated individual seeking a career in Property/Casualty Underwriting or Claims in a dynamic team environment within Commercial Insurance or in our Claims department. You are a self-starter, with excellent interpersonal skills, strong organization skills and strong written and communication skills.

As a trainee in our Trainee Program you will be expected to achieve your C.I.P. (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation in a 24 – 30 month period. The CIP consists of 10 courses.

The successful candidate will be self motivated; team oriented with a positive attitude, and will be responsible for keeping up to date on industry changes to ensure the constant growth and development of your skills and expertise.
