| Job Description |
Based in Calgary, the Regional Manager (Prairies) is responsible for managing the development of our client's broker network from Calgary to Winnipeg. They will administer regional operations in accordance with organizational objectives and policies. They will direct and lead the development of regional staff, and assist in the general management of the company. |
| Responsibilities |
• Interpret and apply corporate guidelines, including direction of underwriting within region, producing loss ratio equal to or better than set objectives. • Actively promote company through broker network by appointing and canceling brokers as necessary to achieve volume objectives while maintaining profitable book of business. • Administer regional operations according to company mission, vision and principles. • Supervise and develop regional staff, either directly or through management team, by providing leadership, coaching and performance management. • Plan and budget in short and long term. • Collaborate with various head office departments in sharing information and implementing company guidelines and procedures. • Provide feedback to management group with regard to regional knowledge and learning experiences to assist in general management of company. |
| Requirements |
• Proven track record as a leader in general insurance industry, focused on commercial lines within broker distribution system. • Strong technical skills with minimum of 10 years experience in progressively responsible roles in underwriting or claims. • Proven communication and relationship building skills. • Demonstrated strategic thinking capability.

| Compensation and Benefits Details |
This role includes a salary of $120,000 to $130,000, negotiable based on experience, and bonuses and other benefits. Our client is willing to consider relocating the right candidate. |
