We are seeking a Recruiter to join our Halifax HR team. As Recruiter, the successful candidate will drive the internal and external recruitment process, while working closely with departmental managers to deliver quality HR service. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, motivated and results driven team player who is able to juggle multiple priorities in a growing organization.
Job Accountabilities:
- Lead the Recruiting process for all open positions, ensuring quality candidates are sourced and hired within tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both in dealing with internal and external clients and candidates.
- Contribute strategic ideas regarding sourcing candidates, marketing and assessment tools
- Provide reports, analysis and trending regarding the recruiting function
- Develop/Expand relationships within the community to source and maintain a strong applicant pool
- Prepare and send out weekly dashboards
- Participate as member of the HR team in various regional and national committees as assigned.
- Provide project and administrative support to the Regional HR Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of recruiting experience is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organization and problem solving skills
- In-depth understanding of the recruiting function, labour market pools, and best practices in recruiting.
- Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
- Ability to work under pressure with many and overlapping deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment under minimal supervision, and within a team environment
- Strong PC skills, with ability to create and update reports, trending, and other statistics.
- Flexible in regard to working hours – may be required to work off-shift occasionally to meet recruiting deadlines.
