Position: Occupational Health Relief Nurse

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 month contract possible extension
Pay Rate: $33.80/hr

Summary: The ideal candidate would be looking for a shift here and there through the work week during business hours. As well providing relief to head OHN for vacation coverage. This is a great opportunity for someone retired or coming close to retirement not looking for full time permanent work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assessing employee's that come to you claiming a workplace injury. Providing emergency assistance to employee's injured or in need of medical help on the rig. Counseling employee's who have been burned/injured while working. Referring employee's to the proper medical facilities suffering from injuries beyond the centers capabilities to handle. Person must be comfortable working independently.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 3-5 years basic nursing experience
• Current Nursing registration in Nova Scotia
• Current First Aid & CPR
• 1-2 years exp. in emergency, industrial or remote Nursing
• Occupational Health Diploma is considered an asset
• Knowledge of the Petro-chemical Industry would be considered an asset.
