General Summary:
Based in our Moncton Office, the primary responsibilities of the HR Generalist will be to work collaboratively with all business units to aid each in achieving their goals by developing an expertise and understanding of both internal and external customer needs.
The HR Generalist will report directly to the Director of Human Resources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 3-5 years experience in a progressive HR Environment or equivalent business experience
- Excellent problem assessment and problem solving skills
- Experience in negotiating in an environment where it is required to influence without authority
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and management
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self starter
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Works efficiently to maximize contributions, focusing on bottom line results
- Training skills
- Strong initiative
- Has a flexible and creative approach; working well in an environment dedicated to results and continuous improvement
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Takes personal responsibility for dealing with and/or correcting employee and management inquiries
- Maintains effective relationships with employees and management team
- Makes recommendations to management on approaches to resolve interpersonal challenges
- Support and administers the VAS Benefits Program
- Monitor performance reviews and interface with management and employees when required
- Liaise with Great West Life regarding any escalated inquiries
- Support the termination process
- Adhoc requests
- Leads recruiting of employees
- Lead HR Projects to completion
- Implement/Update HR Policies and Procedures as necessary
- Supports Payroll
