Position Summary
The Payroll Coordinator is a payroll professional with a thorough understanding of payroll practices and Canadian legislation. The role is responsible for processing payrolls for multiple clients, maintaining client and employee records, ensuring the payroll data is collected, input, processed, balanced and verified in accordance with the client and ADP Canada specifications. This role responds to employee/client queries via incoming calls in a professional and timely manner assuming full responsibility and resolution. This role supports and receives direction from the Payroll Manager regarding client issues.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing the full cycle payroll for multiple clients.
- Processes multiple payrolls across Canada, including Quebec.
- Evaluates changes required for clients and works with ADP National Service team to implement the required changes.
- Coordinates all incoming payroll data for multiple assigned clients
- Ensures that ADP's Outsourcing Services policies and procedures are being administered correctly.
- Ensures that multiple clients internal policies are being administered correctly in relation to the processing on the employees pay.
- Verifies client payroll edits/reports and balances the payrolls prior to submission
- Responsible for scheduling and running the assigned multiple client payrolls.
- Maintains complete multiple client and employee records
- Records/updates all employee and client issues on tracking system as well as the database tracking system.
- Analyzes and reconciles government statements and remittances.
- Processes Year End functions to meet legislative requirements to the client's perspective as well as ADP Canada's.
- Provide support to clients for HR/Benefits administration as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- High school diploma
- Superior communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, probe, analyze and problem solve issues
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- Must be able to work in a very fast paced, high stress environment
Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- CPA certification
- 1 year minimum experience working experience with multiple Payroll environments
- Versed in Canadian Employment Standards Legislation for all provinces
- Proven Year End experience with CCRA, MRQ, all provincial WCB filings, all provincial health tax filings
- General understanding of ADP Canada workflow would be an asset
- Prior experience utilizing ADP applications
