Our client is an international company with a diversified group of businesses that provide comprehensive heavy construction solutions and products to major developers of large scale industrial and commercial projects. It is looking for a senior executive who is highly skilled in identifying and developing opportunities for long-term growth.
In this pivotal role you will work closely with the senior management team to implement business development programs that promote the company's services to both existing and potential clients. You will be responsible for analyzing business trends and generating leads. With your keen understanding of the construction industry and delivering complex projects on time and within budget, you will develop targeted sales and marketing initiatives that communicate the company's capabilities to potential clients in a diverse range of industries.
Additionally, you will spearhead development programs that capitalize on new opportunities and devise compelling messaging that highlights the company's reputation for excellence and best practices. As the primary point of contact for new client engagements, you will be responsible for building solid business relationships with key decision-makers. You will also oversee the RFP process from initial request through to completion.
An excellent communicator, you are skilled in articulating strategic direction so that it is clearly understood by all stakeholders. Leading by example, you will inspire and motivate employees to attain business objectives. Since you will be largely responsible for implementing development projects that will impact on the future growth of the business, you will also contribute to public relations.
To succeed in this high level position you must have a minimum of five years experience in a similar capacity at other companies involved in heavy construction, construction supply or industrial services, along with a post-secondary degree in business (an MBA would be a definite asset). Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Organizational and project management skills are a must.
