We are currently seeking a Program Manager, Special Projects to plan, execute, and manage the delivery of a high reliability new product in a volume manufacturing environment.   This position will be based in our Windsor, Nova Scotia location.

The Program Manager, Special Projects reports to the Vice President, Manufacturing and will be responsible for:

• Planning, executing, and monitoring assigned Program(s) with a focus on quality, efficiency, effectiveness and on-time delivery of product
• Managing all aspects of the execution of the assigned Program(s), including cost, scope, risk, schedule, suppliers and subcontractors, quality, resources, and communications
• Providing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc progress reports and updates to Senior Management as required
• Maintaining regular contact with customer and acting as the main point of contact between operating departments and the customer
• Managing the performance of a team of individuals from various functional groups including planning, procurement, material control, manufacturing and manufacturing support. 
• Facilitating activities and coaching the team to meet commitments and ensure compliance with internal standards and external contractual requirements
• Other responsibilities as required

The successful candidates will possess:

• Project/Program Management experience with exposure to all aspects of manufacturing including: planning, scheduling, procurement, manufacturing engineering and production
• Previous experience with government or defence contracts would be an asset
• Strong collaborative and communication skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels both internally and externally. 
• Demonstrated skills in strategic and operational planning, and the ability to lead effectively 
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results
• Experience working in an ISO certified company would be an asset 
• Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
