Branch Manager

GSA Search Consultants/Noramtec Consultants has partnered with a leading securities firm to recruit the integral role of Branch Manager in Halifax, NS.

Responsibilities:
As the Branch Manager, you are responsible for the branch's overall performance while managing a team of Investment Advisors and ensuring appropriate compliance of operations and functions within the branch. You will conduct employee performance reviews, manage all human resource functions, and ensure appropriate leadership and support is provided to IAs and administrative staff within the office to ensure appropriate hiring, training and motivational practices take place. In addition, the Branch Manager will provide the necessary developmental opportunities for the team through ongoing coaching and feedback as the situation requires.

Skills and Qualifications:
Ideally, we're seeking an individual who has a successful track record in building and maintaining relationships, has held a significant book of business in a prior management or Investment Advisor role. You have a successful background in recruitment and retention of sales staff, and you are a proven leader in your field; commanding respect from your team. You have a clear ability to mentor and develop your team to be as successful as they can be. You have excellent oral, written and presentation skills with a keen knowledge and understanding of compliance standards within the securities industry. You have previous budgetary experience and a proven ability to see the "big picture" in terms of strategic planning. You are keen to network and drive the business, treating it like your own.

You have successfully completed the Branch Manager's Course, you have your CFP or PFP designation completed, and your CSC and CPH are up to date.
