Associate Account Manager

Job Description:

  • As a key member of the Client Service Team, provides first level client contact on specified accounts. Assists the Account Manager in managing medium to high complexity accounts;
  • Independently manages some low to medium complexity accounts;
  • Serves as the internal contact point on all aspects of account activity. Internally client facing, liaises with client to receive and provide relevant information;
  • Receives and processes client requests and reviews documentation for routine policy changes, additions, deletions, renewals or cancellations;
  • Co-ordinates client information with Associate Broker/Broker to initiate renewal process;
  • Receives policy contracts from Associate Broker/Broker, provides first level review to ensure apparent client needs have been met;
  • Under the direction of the principle Account Manager, services existing programs, defines routine risk exposure and provides first level advice on general policy coverage;
  • Prepares client service summaries, program reports and client survey information for review by Service Team Management;
  • In collaboration with the Associate Broker/Broker, coordinates and supports service planning and marketing initiatives for Account Manager and Broker;
  • May supervise the day to day administrative activities of the Account Assistant(s) and/or administrative members of the service team;
  • Reviews/completes endorsements, cover notes and Certificates of insurance to ensure thier accuracy and completion in support of the team's service plan;
  • Coordinates the ongoing efficient application of Aon's internal system as it pertains to client information and reporting;
  • Supports the client reporting and stewardship process for the Account Manager to ensure communique is shared amongst the Service Team members and that appropriate follow-up is coordinated.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years broker/agency experience including client interaction;
  • Commercial Lines insurance experience is required; 
  • CAIB/CIP or studying toward completion;
  • Good MS Office skills including Excel and Power Point;
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
  • Detail oriented, strong time management skills, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
