We are a full-service Investment firm dealing in high net worth clients within the Province of Nova Scotia.

Responsibilities:

The Sales Assistant will provide quality, efficient and specialized support on multiple and diverse range of assignments.  This position will provide dedicated support to an Investment Advisor and as required, to other branch personnel. The role will involve a fair degree of complexity and will include but is not limited to the following accountabilities;

Business Results:

• Complete required reports and assembles documentation for accounts
• Complete a variety of correspondence and word processing assignments from mechanical or written draft
• Assist Investment Advisors in preparing for sales presentations
• Maintain marketing materials, assembles client information packages and assist with marketing mail outs and activities
• Support Investment Advisor in regards to all marketing, service and client relationship activities
• Perform sundry duties as assigned

Risk & Compliance:

• Be knowledgeable of and comply with all Codes of Conduct, securities laws and regulations
• Be knowledgeable and comply with risk and confidentiality requirements
• Be proficient with firm software & technology

Client Service:

• Process client applications prepared by Investment Advisor
• Execute order and respond to client enquiries promptly and accurately
• Check and correct any errors or omissions in daily transaction summaries
• Ensure satisfactory resolution of client enquiries, take ownership of co-ordinating responses with other branches/departments as necessary
• Provide quotes, tracking Dividends, RSPs, RIFs
• Provide optimal level of service with every client interaction

• Keep others informed of all relevant information and share expertise

Skills:

Mandatory Accreditation CSC, CPH (Investment Representative – IR ). Undergraduate Degree or Community College Diploma preferred. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a proven ability to deliver a high level of service. They will also be detail oriented, highly organized, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
