Customer Care Specialist
Endroit : Halifax
  • Various english positions 
    • Full time, year round – 37.5 hours per week
  • Hours of operation 
    • Mon - Thurs 7:30 am to 1am, extended to 2 am in the winter
    • Fri – 7:30 am to 12 am
    • Sat – 8:30 am to 9 pm, extended to 11 pm in the winter
    • Sun - 8:30 am to 1 am, extended to 2 am in the winter

As a Customer Care Specialist at Blue Ocean Contact Centers, you will answer incoming calls, e-mails, and web-based inquiries from customers across North America. This will include answering general inquiries about direct to consumer products and services and to provide added value to our callers. Occasional outbound work may be required to support client needs.
 
Your major responsibilities will be: 

  • To provide telephone, e-mail and web-based product or service support for incoming calls (sales orders and service issues) from customers.
  • To quickly and effectively assess and resolve challenging situations
  • To provide customers with a superior service experience by listening carefully to them and providing information/solutions to their concerns
  • To fulfill customer expectations in ways that also comply with established policies and procedures
  • To effectively learn and use the software and available resources to meet the clients needs 

As a successful applicant, you: 

  • Possess a solid command of the English language while demonstrating friendliness and a positive “can do” attitude
  • Have a passion for resolving problems in a timely and effective manner which involves empathy, supportiveness and  showing concern for the customer
  • Have the ability to understand and apply best practices in problem resolution process
  • Possess superior communication and listening skills
  • Have superior customer service skills with the ability to manage customer expectations, establishing credibility and rapport with customers
  • Must be able to deal with irate customers
  • Maintain a positive rapport in challenging situations
  • Possess a collaborative “what-ever it takes” attitude and flexible work ethic
  • Possess excellent multi-tasking skills, attention to accuracy, and detail
  • Have previous experience in an inbound, contact center environment
  • Have strong computer training/experience (skill and accuracy testing will be administered at the time of the in person interview)
  • Have a good working knowledge of the ‘Windows’ operating system, Internet, and Email
  • Possess the ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
  • Can provide a criminal record check
