R&D Ingredient Specialist – 6 Month Term Position

Scotsburn Dairy Group, a leading processor and distributor of fresh quality dairy products and ice cream in Atlantic Canada, has a term position, R&D Ingredient Specialist, at the ice cream production plant, 85 Blakeney Avenue, Truro Industrial Park, Truro, N.S.

As part of the R&D team, the responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring, verifying and recording information on incoming ingredients;
• Assisting with ingredient inventory management and control;
• Facilitating efficient ingredient usage in production;
• Liaising with ingredient suppliers on technical issues.

The ideal candidate will have completed a Bachelor of Science degree. The successful applicant in this position must be able to work independently in an industrial setting, have high attention to detail and possess excellent computer and communication skills.
